About me
Fourth Wing reignited my love for reading. The Cruel Prince pulled me straight into fantasy, and Nevernight made sure there was no turning back. What followed was an ever-growing fantasy collection, far too many special editions, and eventually, Cosmic Reads Club, my corner of the internet for honest reviews, thoughtful fantasy discussions, and beautifully written stories.
A Kazakh-born, German-raised bookworm with Russian roots, a nursing history, and a deep love for immersive stories, beautiful editions, and worlds worth disappearing into.
Born in Kazakhstan and raised in northern Germany, I grew up between languages, cultures, and identities. Books were always somehow part of that, even long before fantasy completely took over my life. After years of working as a nurse, traveling, and spending time abroad (including a chapter in India that genuinely changed me as a person), I eventually ended up in Berlin. Somewhere between night shifts, stress, adulthood, and trying to function like a normal person, reading slowly disappeared from my life for a while.
Then I picked up Fourth Wing.
What was supposed to be one fantasy book somehow turned into a complete rediscovery of my love for reading. The Cruel Prince got me emotionally attached to fantasy, ACOTAR made me fall fully back into the genre, and Nevernight sealed my fate entirely. The rest slowly turned into overflowing bookshelves, expensive special editions, and eventually Cosmic Reads Club.
These days, I mostly gravitate towards high fantasy, strong female protagonists, unusual magic systems, and stories with a distinct atmosphere and emotional depth. I love romance when it feels earned, female rage in all its forms, and books that stay in my head long after the final page.
Cosmic Reads Club became my place to talk about all of it: the books I loved, the books that disappointed me, the stories that completely consumed my thoughts, and the occasional fantasy series that quietly rearranged my personality.
